NEI fills gaps created by lack of quality teachers by providing students with effective, forward-thinking educators. Our 2-year program will prepare 4-year non-education degree holders to become successful teachers ready to tackle the challenges facing education all over our country.

What is NEPP?

The NEPP is a comprehensive program for individuals with a bachelor's degree or higher in fields other than education who have a desire to become certified teachers.

  • Participants work full-time as a "teacher of record" throughout the program
  • Mentoring and coaching are provided in tandem with online coursework
  • Course work is delivered through asynchronously online modules that are delivered online via Canvas (Learning Management System- LMS)
  • Each course includes explicit State aligned strategies that will support learning

Who Can Apply?

Individuals interested in a career in teaching, who have a bachelor's degree are eligible to apply.

Florida Requirements

Elementary Education
  • I have a Statement of Eligibility (SOE} you cannot be accepted to NEPP without a SOE. or
  • I have not applied for my SOE. I have a transcript of my conferred degree and a 2.5 GPA. Based on an individual evaluation of your documents, NEPP can offer suggested next steps.  
  • I want to apply for NEPP, but my statement says I am “Ineligibility” (based on your SOI you may be able to take a subject area test and reapply for a SOE).
Secondary Education
  • I have a Graduate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the subject or related field in which I am pursuing certification. I will provide my transcripts.
  • I have a Statement of Eligibility (SOE} you cannot be accepted to NEPP without a SOE. or

How to begin in Florida

Obtain a statement of eligibility

Submit program application and required documents
3.
If accepted, complete the NEI enrollment agreement
4.
Attend orientation
5.
Begin online courses

Indiana Requirements

Elementary Education
Candidates, please check your path to entry (College Transcripts are required prior an acceptance letter being issued)
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution with a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0-point scale: or
  • Both a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution with a grade point average of at least 2.50 on a 4.0 scale, and five (5) years of professional experience; or
  • Both a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution, and proof of passing state approved content area examination(s) in the subject area.
Secondary Education
Candidates, please check your path to entry (attach supporting evidence to the back of this packet):
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the subject that the individual intends to teach with a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0-point scale: or
  • Graduate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the subject or related field in which the person wants to teach; or
  • Both a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the subject area that the individual intends to teach with a grade point average of at least 2.50 on a 4.0 scale, and five (5) years of professional experience; or
  • Both a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution, and proof of passing state approved content area examination(s) in the subject area.
Additional requirements must be met prior to starting the program. Evidence of completion must be submitted.

Tennessee - ACHIEVEMENT School district

Noble Education Initiative's (NEI) New Educator Prep Program (NEPP) is an approved Out-of-State Educator Preparation Program for Achievement School District teachers.

Why chose Noble Education Initiative’s New Educator Preparation Program (NEPP)?

  • Once NEPP enrollment is complete a permit can be upgrade to a practitioner’s license
  • Once NEPP enrollment is complete a candidate can be issued a practitioner's license with proof of enrollment and a passing score on the required Praxis endorsement
